Workwear 101 for the Modern Indian Women

We have curated some Indian fashion designers dresses for women who run the world. No more being restricted to traditional Indian wear or business suits. Whether you are in the creative industry or a corporate office, we have something for you.

1.       This is multiplayer, must-have for your office wardrobe. Translate makes beautiful designer dresses for women. This piece can easily double as a dress or a tunic. To wear it as a tunic, pull on a pair of jeans or leggings. Or wear it as a dress for a smart, modern aesthetic. Since the garment is in such a neutral tone, accessorize with simple, dainty gold or silver jewellery to look more put together.

2.      Rule the boardroom with this Kinji Long Sleeveless Dress. If your office is very conservative, wear a tailored, black or grey blazer over it. Throw on a pair of nude or black heels to complete the look. Swap out your office hand bag with a fun clutch and easily take this outfit from client meetings to after-office happy hours. Dirty martinis, anyone!

3.      Fan of simple dresses with interesting details? Wear this crisp-white Bodice overlay dress in a tailored cut. Bodice is a popular Indian fashion designer. The dress strikes the right balance between unexpected details and relaxed shapes. Go simple and style it with a pair of dove gray heels and a simple, dainty gold choker necklace. This outfit screams sophistication.

4.      This is for those of us working in the creative industry. You will probably have a more relaxed office dress code. Wear this Crete dress in blue with multi-rose embroidery by Payal Pratap. Payal Pratap is well-known for her designer dresses for women. Since this dress is so out there, go neutral with your accessories. Style it with a pair of plain brown leather mules or slip ons. Add other neutral accents like leather wrap-around bracelets and multiple, gold rings.

5.      Here is another great piece for your office party. Demure but interesting. This too is a creation of Payal Pratap, aptly named Majorca Ivory by pink embroidered summer dress. It is the perfect transition piece to carry a slice of summer into the fall and winter months. You can easily dress it up with a pair of killer heels and statement earrings (think fringe). Or dress it down with a navy blue blazer and simple leather sandals or flats.

You can never go wrong with this simple merino shift dress in indigo by Akaaro. Akaaro specializes in designer dresses for women.
